Score Big With This Game Day Snack-Pizza Pull Apart Muffins!

These are a quick and easy lunch, meal or snack! They would be great for a party too (thinking of the big game coming up?) It's a twist on traditional pizza and a finger food that kids are bound to love! Pizza pull apart muffins!

Although easy to make, you will need to plan ahead for the ingredients. The dough can be a variety of things. You can use a tube of pizza dough, frozen dough (like the individual rolls), or you can make your own dough for one pizza. I like to let the dough sit in the fridge overnight, if I make it myself. Allow time for the dough to thaw if using frozen AND time for it to rise once you've created the muffin mixture. Roll out the dough and cube it into approximately 1/2 inch cubes.

You can really get creative here with the muffin mixture. We like to throw in diced up pepperoni (1-2 oz), but you can sub in salami, sausage, whatever. I also like to mix up the cheese. I used a combination of shredded and cubed mozzarella, but parmesan is good too. For seasonings, the possibilities are endless. I put in two tablespoons of a tomato-basil Italian bread dip seasoning that I like. You can sub in fresh herbs, like basil, or use any Italian dried seasoning to taste! Mix it all together with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil so that the mixture is well coated.

Spray your muffin pan and put an even amount of mixture into all 12 cups. I recommend using full size muffin pans for this one. Although you can put it into the oven from here, I think letting it rise will really give you a fluffier muffin that's easier to pull apart. An hour of rising should be plenty.

When you're ready, put the pan into a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown. You will want to serve these warm right away, with a side of marinara or ranch for dipping! Enjoy!
